The International Bird Rescue Research Center in Cordelia plans to raise funds with an unusual duck X-ray. The bird came in with a broken wing, but when Marie Travers, assistant manager of the center, radiographed the duck, she was stunned to see a very clear image of what appeared to be the face, or head, of an extraterrestrial alien in the bird's stomach.

Karen Benzel, the rescue center's public affairs director, said, "Marie looked at it and all she could say was unbelievable'."

According to the center's initial reports, the cause for the strange face wasn't determined. But they are awaiting the results of a necropsy, which hopefully will bring some answers. Regardless, the center has figured out a good way to benefit from the X-rayit will soon be auctioned on eBay.

The unusual, one-of-a-kind X-ray, measuring 17" by 14", will also be sold with a certificate of authenticity. All proceeds from the sale will go towards rehabilitation programs at the center.
