Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Strange things happen when you fall in love. In fact, a new study in Italy shows that the euphoric feeling of love causes gender-bending changes in testosterone levels. However, the change is only measurable during the initial stages of love. Donatella Marazziti, a scientist at the University of Pisa, discovered that men in love had lower levels of testosterone, while the levels of love-struck women were higher. She theorizes that the occurrence happens so the two sexes can become more like each other, saying, "It's as if nature wants to eliminate what can be different in men and women."
