What would you do if you if you received a gift that, if used, would not only change your life, but would also affect someone else's life by ending it? That is the question posed in the upcoming thriller, The Box.

Starring Cameron Diaz and James Marsden, the movie centers on Norma and Arthur Lewis, a suburban couple with a young child, who receive a simple wooden box as a gift, which bears fatal and irrevocable consequences. A mysterious stranger claims that the box will bestow upon its owner $1 million with the press of a button. However, pressing this button will simultaneously cause the death of another human being somewhere in the world; someone they don't know. With just 24 hours to have the box in their possession, Norma and Arthur find themselves in a moral dilemma.

Helming the movie is Richard Kelly, the writer/director of the cult classic Donnie Darko. Veteran character actor, Basil Hoffman, will play a role in the film and was also in the original version of this story when it aired as "Button, Button" on the new Twilight Zone in 1986. Rumors have circulated that Kelly collaborated with Hostel's Eli Roth to create the flick and that it is poised to hit theaters sometime in the fall.
